“Maintain a healthy body.” From teenagers to adults, the idea of having a perfect body has been ingrained into our minds. From actors we see on the big screen to our annual physician checks, we are reminded about the prestige and health benefits of maintaining a healthy weight and an ideal body mass index (BMI). But what happens if you are healthy and are still unable to achieve the results you want? What is the solution? That’s when vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance comes into play or in more simple words VASER Liposuction.

Liposuction should not be used as a method for weight loss. However, it is a procedure for people who want to reveal their muscle tone underneath and more precisely treat fat deposits. It has a great reputation for body sculpting.

What is VASER Liposuction?

Similar to traditional liposuctions, fat deposits are broken down and suctioned. These deposits are removed from the body using cannulas and saline solutions. This entire procedure is done under the comfort of anesthesia.   Larger areas are treated with general anesthesia.

What differentiates VASER is that it is a form of ultrasonic liposuction. Not only is it more gentle and effective in breaking down fat deposits, but it is also extremely precise and thus reduces damage to underlying skin tissue.

Areas Targeted

Once an individual achieved their targeted weight loss through diet and exercise, this treatment can be considered.  VASER liposuction can be focused on a myriad of areas, including the arms, chest, chin, neck, upper back, waistline, stomach, hips, thighs, and the buttocks.  Liposculpture methods can provide better definition.  Fat grafting can also be done in conjunction.

Procedure

The patient is put under anesthesia ensuring maximum comfort during the procedure. A saline solution along with an anesthetic is injected in the targeted area. Ultrasound probes are then inserted into the skin through a tiny incision. As the fat breaks apart, a cannula helps vacuum out the fatty tissue. Results are seen immediately, however, the best contour and shape is notable after 6-8 weeks due to initial swelling.

Risks & Side Effects

As with any procedure, there are risks and side effects associated with VASER liposuction. Massage and postprocedure garments can reduce elements such as bruising and swelling which is common after liposuction.

Liposuction is quickly becoming one of the world’s most popular, low-risk, cosmetic procedures. In 2018 itself, over 250,000 Americans decided to get the procedure. VASER technologies have improved liposuction making it more convenient and comfortable. This procedure yields dramatic results with significantly less recovery time and pain than traditional liposuction procedures. VASER liposuction helps our patients in New Jersey feel empowered and confident about their bodies. It is time to destigmatize liposuctions, and understand that VASER liposuction may be a great solution.

A cosmetic consultation with Dr. Priti Patel can help you determine if this treatment would suit your goals.
